Blog: Economically Justifiable Shopping
OK, my first Fashionweek downtown visit is a fact. It was the official opening of the Wardrobe #01. A conceptstore where Dutch designers meet each other.
The store was initiated by Dutch fashion platform “Fashion NL.” They want to accomplish their mission by letting people overload their own Wardrobe with Dutch Design items.
I think it is very important to support the buying of our own Designers. There is so much talent with very lovely handmade clothes of great quality. Let’s stop the cheap import where we aren’t sure if there is child labour involved or if people are being paid reasonably, plus, we help ourselves work on a more stable economy!
If you lost out on inspiration, don’t worry!
On the Facebook site from Wardrobe #01, great stylists show mix&match items for you and create a great outfit. Want that outfit? No problem, help the Dutch Designers and of course yourself and just visit the Concept store in Magna Plaza, Amsterdam centre.
I love the way the store looks and shows. I mean, you expect an store where each designer has its own domain. But the store is colour-sorted, so all designers are blended.
Designers to buy: Mada van Gaans, Bas Kosters, Charlotte Kan, Vlieger en Vandam. For more designers or other information: www.fashionnl.com
