Romeo Lensa
Romeo Michael Lensa who was born on July 1, 1979 grew up in a big family. When he was six, his parents broke up and he moved from one place to another in the harbour city Rotterdam. When first trying his hands on music, he wrote lyrics at a young age, and performed several times. During this passion he also had and still has a great love for soccer. He played for several clubs in Rotterdam.
Fresh out of high school, he moved to the capital city Amsterdam with his mom and it was time to either sink or swim. In 1995, he followed his dream by keep on playing soccer, also for several clubs in Amsterdam. With that excitement growing by the day, it was the perfect time to become a professional soccer player, but it didn’t go as he thought it should. During this period he studied international trade and marketing at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences.
He also worked as a music producer from 2000 till 2009 for the record company Walboomers. He and his partner Sergio Popken started the company Mind and Brain Music Productions and produced a lot of tracks for several artists. They ended their company and followed their own path. He still has a passion for music and plays the piano.
Romeo started to follow the course for soccer coach at the Royal Dutch Soccer Federation, when he was asked to become a soccer coach. He successfully ended this course and trained a lot of teams at the famous former professional club afc DWS.
In 2007 he got on the board of the club and started to organize the structure of the whole soccer department. He wrote the policy for the coaches and players for long term. Now he is the head coach of the first team, and the head of soccer education.
Passionate about music, sports and indeed his family, he breathes life, and lives it.
