Marisa Lisse aka Diva was born and raised in Rotterdam, and is the first child of her mother.She started in the entertainment scene at a very young age as a dancer in the Swingbeat dance group called D-control with her mother as her biggest fan. And that’s what brought her the discipline she’s got today.
At the age of 16 she got pregnant of her first son, very young but that’s what shaped her into the strong woman she is right now. Because of her early motherhood she dropped out of school and started working as a bartender. During that same period she met Mara Michels through a mutual friend, and they became good friends.
A few years later she wanted to reconnect with her inner self and her roots, and that’s when her spiritual journey started. Their first organization was called Uhuru, It was the first step to organizing events. They organised lectures, debates, book nights and exchanges with the organization called Untold empowerment. They had their own radio show called “Say it loud I’m black and I’m proud” and another show called “Mama’s hour.” She also was a member of the Dance Musical “The Story Untold”, which told the story of our ancestors during slavery and the journey to Europe.
After 10 years Marisa lisse and Mara Michels separated for a few years to let each other grow. Born and raised as a Rotterdammer and loving her city, she still had the feeling that something was blocking her. Marisa fell in love with the father of her daughter and moved to Amsterdam where this whole new journey of reinventing herself started. And that’s when she got her Fashion Flow back, Marisa’d always been known as a fashion Diva, a real mix and match person. Needed an outfit? Expensive or cheap, the Diva knows where to be.
As a fashion Diva she started a career at the H&M as a visual merchandiser, which she enjoyed doing. Because of this Diva being gifted with many talents, this was not something she would do for the rest of her life. Being a social, spiritual, connected, honest and loving person is what makes Marisa the organizer and PR Diva that she is. Be ready for more cause she is gonna conquer the world
Why is she called Diva?
Because she doesn’t take no for an answer, she always looks amazing, her nails are always done. If you’re in need of something? You name it, the Diva will get it. Some people call her arrogant, but no she just loves herself. Baaaaaaaaaaaam!!!!
